Recycle & Remarket
Procedures
- Once initial contact has been made with regards to a collection
we arrange with the client a date and time convenient to them
for the collection to take place.
- All items for collection are recorded by the driver as they
are loaded onto the vehicle. A waste Transfer Note is issued.
- Upon arrival all computers are inventorised detailing all information
as requested by the client, this includes but is not limited to
asset numbers, make and model.
- All data is then securely removed as per the request of the
client using our specialist software.
- All traceable tags on the machine are removed such as company
asset tags or other stickers with the company name on.
- A confirmation list is sent to the client and a residual value
or service cost is produced.
- Within ten working days documentation is sent to the client which usually includes a Waste Transfer Note if not already provided, inventory of items received, invoice for items received and any other necessary documentation from The Computer Recycling People.
Once the equipment has been through our recycling process we, The Computer Recycling People will then remarket the kit to SME's/individuals in the local community or donate to local charities. TCRP are linked to our own charities which include Rethink (a local and national mental health charity www.rethink.org or if you have your own charity that you wish to donate to we can arrange for them to receive the residual value on your behalf.
We can offer a staff buy back service whereby we can collect, fully and securely erase any data and rebuild any equipment you may wish to sell to your staff rather than the marketplace.
